Children
​​​
Parental separation can be highly stressful for parents and children to manage. We are a skilled and approachable team of barristers that offer specialist advice (both in writing and in-person) as well as representation in Court for disputes involving children in private law proceedings. Typically, this involves where the children should live or how much time they should spend with each parent. Other matters of disagreement may extend to involve other family members, including grandparents.
We are also highly experienced in representing clients in complicated fact-finding hearings where allegations of significant abuse have been raised by one or both of the parties. We cater to clients from diverse backgrounds and are trained to support those with mental health challenges or learning difficulties.

Whether you are a spouse, a civil partner or a cohabitee we are able to offer a range of suitably experienced barristers to advise and represent you in any existing or anticipated court proceedings arising out of the breakdown of your relationship. In particular:

If you are a spouse or a civil partner, we can offer barristers that practise in the full range of matrimonial disputes under the relevant legislation at all levels;

Modern Families

We take an inclusive approach to client service delivery and particularly strive to help the Family Court better understand modern families in all their forms.
We provide advice on how to start or grow your family, including applications for parental orders resulting from a surrogacy journey or simply as the non-birth co-parent.

We also provide specialist advice related to adoption and special guardianship applications on behalf of prospective adopters and kinship carers, whether the child is resident in England and Wales or based in another country.

Education
We advise parents, guardians and young people in matters relating to EHCPs and SENDIST claims, including representation at appeals before the SEND tribunal.

We also provide advice and representation in respect of admission appeals, exclusion hearings and appeals, and OIA appeals/university claims.
